Mentz Germishuis won the Riversdale Junior Golf Foundation Championships (Pietie Mostert) on Sunday 24 July. He played a 76 gross ending in a play-off with Jack Duthie. Well done Mentz. Go 4 Gold!
The Louis Oosthuizen Junior Golf Academy welcomes its two new Academy members, the 9 year old Martin Vorster and the 14 year old Mentz Germishuys. Louis made a special trip to Mossel Bay to be at the induction function of the two new members. Here they all receive their clothing sponsored by Andrew Robinson from Ping (Leisure Brands), putters sponsored by Doug Villas from Ping clubs (Opal Sports), golf balls, gloves and shoes sponsored by Titleist and Footjoy.
Heinrich was crowned as the Champion at the Junior Foundation’s Order of Merit tournament held at Goose Valley on Sunday 17 April. He shot a superb round of level par, 72, on his way to a one shot victory. Heinrich is in striking form again and will surely be in contention on a few more occasions during this year.
